Hi everyone! Yesterday was our birthday party. Yay! It was awesome! It was a Lego party. Our friends and us all built cool creations and put them in a gallery. Here they are:

John's California Trip Report

Day 1:

I was excited and happy to go on a plane. There were little TVs and I had a bag full of toys, so it was kind of fun, especially at the bumpy parts.

Our hotel by Disneyland had a water park right in it, called Pirate's Cove. There was this bell and when it rang a huge bucket of water dumped down. There was a ship and water blasters too. It may be the most fun water park I've ever been to.

Day 2, Disneyland:
My first day at Disneyland was awesome. There was a giant Christmas tree. The first ride I went on was Jungle Cruise. There were animatronic animals that you could see on both sides of the boat. There was a sign that said how many crocodiles there were. My favourite ride was the Indiana Jones one. It was amazing! There was even an animatronic Indy!
I got picked to be in the Jedi Academy Training show. I fought Darth Maul. It was awesome!

A lot of kind people tried to make it safe for us at Disneyland.

Day 3, Disneyland:
We went on a bunch of rides that Mom wanted to go on. Peter Pan's Flight was her favourite. I was kind of tired that morning, so we went back to the hotel for a rest.
At night we went to Disney again. It was awesome at night.

Day 4:
We played at Pirate's Cove for a long time. We went to La Jolla.

Day 5:
The first time I went to the ocean I thought it was peaceful. I liked the soft, warm sand. My brother and I dug a deep hole. We collected seashells.

Day 6:
We went to the Birch Aquarium. My favourite thing was watching the giant octopus.

Day 7, Sea World:
We touched bat rays! They felt soft. We touched sharks! They were Epaulette and white spotted and brown banded bamboo sharks. If you touched them one way they were soft and the other way they were rough. I fed dolphins and sea turtles. I also saw a walrus.

Day 8, Legoland:
It was awesome! They made a life size Lego car, an Indiana Jones and a Chewbacca. I loved the Bionicle room, the Bionicle ride and the bulk Lego store. I had the tastiest fries I've ever tasted at Castle Burger.

Day 9:
We went on a hike at Torrey Pines State Reserve.

We drove to LA, we met my mom's friend. She was nice.

Day 10:
It was long. I was tired. I wanted to go home.

Trevor's California Trip Report

Day 1:
I liked my first day of travelling. I noticed that planes go way faster than cars, but I didn't like all the waiting in the airports.
We had a great hotel room near Disney. It was a pretty clean place. I saw Tomorrowland from my balcony. there was a water park called Pirate's Cove at my hotel. When the gate opened it made a moaning sound and it was very, very fun.

Day 2, Disneyland:
Our first ride was Jungle Cruise. It was one of my favourites. We went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, it was amazing! The Captain Jack looked so real, that I said "hi" to him, but he was only animatronic. We rushed around quickly and went on a lot of rides.
We met Chef Sean from Cafe Orleans, he made us a delicious lunch.
We went to the Jedi Training Academy show. We got picked! I fought Darth Vader. It was awesome!

The gift shops were so amazing, I didn't know what to spend my money on!

Day 3, Disneyland:
More rides, more Disney, another yummy lunch at Cafe Orleans, but I was getting kind of tired. We took a break and then went back at night. We met Mickey Mouse and we went to California Adventure park too.

Day 4:
We went to Pirate's Cove and relaxed. We packed up our stuff and went to La Jolla.

Day 5:
We went to the beach. The waves were big. We dug holes in the sand. We collected seashells. We ran in the surf.

Day 6:
We went to an aquarium. The giant octopus was beautiful. I loved it.

Day 7, Sea world:
At Sea world, we touched sharks! They were Epaulette and white spotted and brown banded bamboo sharks. Their skin was soft one way and rough another. We fed sea turtles lettuce! But my favourite part of the day was petting and feeding the bat rays. It was peaceful.

Day 8, Legoland:
My favourite! Awesome! Amazing! A lot of things were made out of Lego, like giant Bionicles and a triceratops. There was a room just for building Bionicles. Here are the ones John and I built.

The shops had so much Lego! I love Lego!

Day 9:
We went to LA and saw my mom's friend.

Day 10:
Long plane rides, boring airports and home again.

Farmers' Markets Rock

This morning we got up very early to go to the farmers market. It was fun. Everything looked so good! There were lots of vegetables, especially pumpkins and honey too. We got tonnes of stuff.

When we got home we ate fresh strawberries and helped make corn chowder. Delicious, yum!

Wii Lego Indiana Jones Review

This game is awesome!

Some things I like about it are all the different characters you get to be, the funny cut scenes and that you can pick up a character's weapon after you defeat them.

One flaw in the game is that the puzzles are kind of tricky and another is that sometimes you get stuck in places. I had a really tricky time getting into the mountains in the 2nd level.

I would give this game 19/20.

PS Belloq is my favourite character.

Fireball!!!!

I got a betta fish too and his name is Fireball. He is very shiny and my favourite colour, red. I also got red gravel and a red lid to his tank. He is not just red, he's also silver and has a little bit of blue in his eyes. His plant has a suction cup on the bottom. He also came with betta fish food and water conditioner, to make his tank just right.

I feel happy about having my new betta fish.

Butter!!!

Today I got a Betta fish. I named him Butter, just because I really like that name. He is blue, aqua, green, gold and a tiny, tiny bit of yellow. You can't see his colours properly because Mom and Dad had a hard time getting a good picture. Butter was afraid of the camera, and kept swimming away from it, and hiding in his plant.
We had a fish from my last year's class named Speedy all summer, so we already know how to take care of Betta fish.

I feel happy about my new fish, Butter.

PS Sorry I didn't finish my story yet, but I have WRITER"S BLOCK! (writer's block is when you can't finish your story because you can't think of quite how to do it).

Also our summer is going good. I got to go to Gramma and Grampa's house, and now Gramma is here and that is awesome! We also went to the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre and saw Bruce. That was awesome too!

To Cheer Up Suzi Blu

Suzi Blu does art videos on youtube. Mom watches her. Sometimes we watch too, because she has a really cute dog that she puts in her videos a lot. Yesterday mom said Suzi Blu's dog was stolen away from her and she is sad.
These are the first pages in our board book art projects. We're going to send the link to Suzi Blu, and maybe it will cheer her up to see that we are doing art and she inspired us.

Super Paper Mario Review

Hi, sorry it's been so long since I've done a blog post.

I just got Super Paper Mario for our Wii. I can't wait to play it more. It's funny and fun. Since you hold the controller sideways, it's easy to use. My favourite Pixl is Barry and my favourite character is Bowser. I've been sharing a file with my mom (that means we've been playing together).

John's Bionicle Story; Part 6

Hacka was still stuck in the sand storm, then he blew away too. Many things from the Matoran castle also blew away in the sandstorm. Floating in the air was kind of relaxing, so he fell asleep. When he woke up he was in the ocean, and surrounded by 6 million sharks!!! Hacka took off one of his legs, and threw it. All the 6 million sharks headed straight at it, and Hacka started to swim away, but then he saw something else coming towards him. It was something blue that looked so much like a shark, but not exactly. It had double spike thingys on his back. Hacka groaned because he thought this creature would be dangerous too. He held out one of his new weapons so the creature might get scared away. Then he noticed the creature was really little. The creature just gave him his leg back. Hacka was so confused!

Hacka dove down deep in the ocean, and caught 6 million fish and gave them to all the sharks. He caught one really special fish for the creature who just gave his leg back, and gave it to him. Hacka and the creature became friends.

As the creature was trying to swim along in the ocean, he got zapped by electricity. After he got shocked, he became bigger and meaner looking, and his talons became sharper! Then he ran away from the ocean. Hacka followed him to see where he was going. He was worried about his friend. When they finally stopped they were at the Matoran castle again. The blue creature pushed every Matoran in his way. Then he went to where the stones were. There was only one left. The creature remembered who was in there. He smashed the stone, and a brown three eyed creature came out. Together they ran back to Hacka.

Hacka didn't want to hurt his friend, so he ran away, but they chased him up a mountain and into a volcano. Hacka thought he was going to die!

Bionicle Web of Shadows Review

Bionicle Web of Shadows is the 3rd Bionicle movie. It had strange spider-like creatures called Vizorak, ruled by an evil queen named Roodaka. The Toas had to battle the Visorak.
I really liked the giant Visorak. The opening was creepy, and I liked that. This movie was awesome, because it was exciting.
People who like Bionicles or action and battling would like this movie. Here is a trailer:

I wish I had the fire Visorak! His name is Vohtarak.

John's Bionicle Story; Part 5

Now I'm going to describe that black creature's name first. It is Ridak. He ran away from the Matoran castle and got lost in a desert. The Matorans thought he was friendly, and they were worried about him, so they sent out a search party for him. Hacka was one of the first guys they called for the job. Hacka looked in oceans, but all he found was a shark. He had to wrestle with the shark. He looked in rivers, but all he found was a crocodile. He had to wrestle with the crocodile too. He looked in different deserts and even in the jungle. Finally he looked in that desert and found Ridak. Hacka said, "Come on, let's go out of here!" But Ridak just looked amazed at the cactus. He picked up the cactus and started whacking the sand with it. Hacka was camouflaged with the sand. So Ridak was whacking Hacka. But a three eyed person could see well, so he soon saw that it was a Toa. So he whacked Hacka even more and even harder.

Hacka was annoyed and confused. Suddenly he got too annoyed, so he started looking at him with a mad face. Then Hacka left to go home, but Ridak was following him. Hacka figured out that Ridak wanted a battle. Then Hacka started whacking Ridak's cactus with another cactus. It turned into a light sabre duel except with cactus. Then Ridak got bored of using his cactus and looked for a harder weapon. He found a one sided drill kind of thing, and on the other side was a spinning thing with sharp points. It was dangerous, but Hacka had dangerous weapons too. So they started battling with those weapons. It looked like Ridak was going to win because he had good fighting skills. But finally Ridak got so tired that he fell down. Hacka carried him back to the Matoran castle.

Then finally Ridak awoke. He tried biting Hacka's hand so he would let go of him. Hacka let go. Ridak landed on the ground. He made a sandstorm so it would be hard for Hacka to find his way back, but in the sandstorm Ridak was a bit lighter than Hacka, so he blew away up to a black hole and was never seen again until he landed in the castle, but the Matorans locked him up quickly, and with all the chains they had.

There were still 2 more brown stones.

John's Bionicle Story; Part 4

That red creature looked happy and then he noticed Hacka, and he looked mad and confused. He made the Matoran mindless too. He made them all charge at Hacka. Hacka looked left, right, up and down and then he saw that the floor he was standing on was rising. It was a booby trap! Hacka jumped down and landed on another Matoran's head. He held his arms and weapons towards the Matorans. The Matorans did the same. They were copying Hacka because they were mindless. Then Hacka got an idea. He went up onto the throne and whacked the red creature. The Matorans did the same. Hacka quickly went back and reversed the red guy's ball shooter. As the Matoran's whacked the red guy, his balls were released onto the Matoran's heads and they turned back into themselves. When they noticed who he was, they brought him down to the dungeons and put him in a jail cell.

One of them came back. Hacka asked, "What's that guy's name?"
The Matoran said, "His name is Hakan."

Meanwhile another brown stone hatched. The creature that came out had three eyes and was black, and he didn't look friendly. But Hacka was still ready to fight.

John's Bionicle Story; Part 3

Even though Hacka was ready to fight, something horrible happened to the Matorans that were still in that place. They got turned into slaves, and whenever that spiky creature threw a ball at one of the Matoran slaves they turned into evil, mindless creatures that don't care what they destroy. They just cared about destroying everything in their way, and Hacka was in their way.

They tripped him, but Hacka jumped. Another one was trying to eat the wall, but it was too hard. Hacka accidentally landed on his head. Hacka jumped to the throne. He took the spiky creature's ball shooter and reversed it so that he could turn the Matorans back. He shot a ball at every one of the slaves and they turned back into Matoran (except for the one who was eating the wall). Then Hacka threw the spiny creature off his throne. He landed on the floor next to the throne.

Now the fight was on! But something else strange happened, Hacka didn't even have to fight him. Fire was burning up the place, and the spiky creature was the element ice, so he melted. But before he melted completely he scraped his name on a piece of ice. Hacka quickly picked it up. It said Thok.

Then a pointy creature came. He was red, and anything he touched in that ice kingdom melted. He took over the castle. He must have hatched from the third brown stone and he had started the fire. Hacka was too busy trying to stop the Matoran from eating the walls to stop the red guy.

Meanwhile in the place where hacka had been born from a stone, 3 more brown stones appeared.

John's Bionicle Story; Part 2

Hacka didn't feel good about being chased into the jungle, but something strange happened to him. He wasn't looking like Hacka anymore. Hacka wanted to fight Spiny with his new weapons and armor, but Spiny wasn't interested in chasing him anymore. Oddly, Spiny was looking at a tree. The tree had the name Zaktan carved on it. Hacka realized that Spiny was the one who did it. Zaktan must have been Spiny's name. So Hacka scraped his name on the ground with his new sword. Zaktan got kind of mad about that, so he scraped the words Zaktan on Hacka's new armor.
Hacka felt mad. He slashed at Zaktan's belly. It didn't hurt Zaktan because he had new armor too. Zaktan felt so mad he exploded into a million pieces of Lego. The Matorans cheered.

Back at the Matoran Castle, another strange creature popped out of one of the brown stones. It was spiky and white, almost pale white. He took over the Matoran castle by freezing it. Everything was running crazy!

Soon Hacka decided that it was time to go home. When he got there, he was terrified to see that his home was frozen. But he was ready to fight.

We Went to the Zoo

One time we went to the zoo and we didn't see a crocodile, but 2 days ago at the zoo we did see a crocodile. The crocodile was my favourite part. I liked it better than the tigers. It was a dwarf crocodile, so it was about as long as me. There were 2 and they were snuggled together. The zookeeper said that they had nice, placid personalities. She said they used to have an alligator, but it was MEAN!!!!

Mom's favourite part was a python taking a bath and the snowy owls. Trevor liked watching the baby turtle swim. Dad's favourite was the turtle rescue. A turtle got stuck on his back, and a different turtle was stuck by a rock. A crowd of people were watching and worried about the turtles. A zookeeper came and rescued the turtles. We clapped.

We are going back to the zoo on Sunday to see the crocodiles being fed!

We Went to the Museum

We went to the Children's museum.We played in the tree forest. The tree forest is my favourite part. There were hidden animals and a beaver dam you could climb up into. It was dark and you could hear cricket and frog noises. I stayed in there with John for a long, long time. I got my face painted like a cheetah.

Spring Break!

Empire Strikes back won, and A New Hope came in second. About that I say, "Awwwww man!" because Attack of the Clones is my favourite (it's the only one with Jango Fett in it) . John says "Yay!" and so does Dad because they like Empire Strikes Back best. John likes that one best because it's the first one where you see Boba as a grown up.

John's Bionicle Story; Part 1

A long time ago a Toa was born from a stone. On the stone it said "Hacka". It was his name! He didn't have weapons or armor.

He was born from a white stone. He saw 3 brown stones. That was strange, because all the other stones were white. A strange, spiteful creature popped out of one of the brown stones. It was green and spiny. It chased Hacka and the Matorans into a jungle.

I hate homework

Tonight I had very hard homework. I had to write a report. This is it:

The name of my butterfly is a Zebra Swallowtail. Colours that you will find on it are black and white. The zebra swallowtail butterfly has a wingspan of about 9.5-11 cms. This butterfly lives in northern United States and Canada. the zebra swallowtail butterfly sips liquid nectar.

I hated that report. I don't like butterflies so much and I hate printing. The printing was the worst part. Writing the report made me feel like this:

Jurassic Park III Movie Review

Jurassic Park III is an awesome movie. In the movie a boy was lost on an island full of dinosaurs. The best part was when the velociraptor was climbing the cage and trying to eat the people. It's an adventure movie. I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes dinosaurs.

Bionicles

Hi it's John again.

I'm really interested in something called Bionicles. They are made out of Lego. First they were on the island of Metru Nui and then they were on the island of Voya Nui. My favourite one on Metru Nui would be the green Vahki. My favourite on Voya Nui would be Vezok.

Of the new sets I have a black Phantoka named Chirox and the Matoran named Kirop.

I like building Bionicles and taking them apart to build my own creations from the pieces. The best thing about Bionicles is playing with them when I'm done.

Ouch, My Toe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday my toe got broken.

If you're wondering which toe got hurt, it was my little toe.

When I was doing Karate, I kicked and when I recoiled I accidentally stepped down too hard and my toe got broken. It hurt right away, but I finished my Karate class anyway.

Hi, my name is Trevor.

I wanted a blog because blogs are awesome. I'm planning on putting dinosaur stuff on here and dog stuff on here and other stuff.

My favourite kind of dog is a beagle.

I like building Bionicles, playing Super Mario Galaxy, reading, drawing and playing with my brother John. I don't like it when my mom doesn't listen to me.

John's 1st Blog Post

Hi, my name is John. Well not really but that's my name on here.

One of my favourite things is dinosaurs, especially any types of pterodactyls.

I plan on sending this blog to all my friends and family. I am going to put stuff like pictures of my favourite dinosaurs and Webkinz on here.

I have this black lab that is just a Webkinz dog. And that is my favourite Webkinz. His name is Darth Puppy, because I am very interested in Star Wars. I named him after Darth Vader.

Mom says to say I'm in grade 2, but I said no because I'm not one bit interested in school. And my mom is typing this for me.
